August 5th, 2026. Starting on October 12th, China Southern will launch a service from Guangzhou to the Ethiopian capital, Addis Ababa. The flight will operate on Mondays and Fridays with a stop in Changsha along the way.
Flight number CZ8095 will depart from Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport at 09:20 and will land at Huanghua International Airport, Changsha, at 10:45 for a two-hour and fifteen-minute layover. The flight will continue at 13:00 and arrive at Bole International Airport, Addis Ababa, at 20:00 local time.
The return journey, flight number CZ8096, will leave Addis Ababa at 23:00 and will touch down in Changsha at 15:10 the next afternoon. The flight will continue two hours later at 17:10 and arrive back in Guangzhou at 18:45.
The overall flight time will be fifteen hours and forty-five minutes for the outbound journey, and about one hour less for the return. A Boeing 787-9 will serve the route.
Beijing to Reykjavik and Copenhagen
Air China has a route to Iceland lined for the end of October. The service will take off on October 26th and operate three times a week, connecting Beijing with Reykjavik via Copenhagen.
Flight number CA807 will depart from Beijing Capital Airport at 03:30 on Mondays, Thursdays, and Saturdays and arrive at Copenhagen Airport at 06:30 local time for a layover of two hours and fifteen minutes. It will continue at 08:45 and touch down at Keflavik International Airport, Reykjavik, at 11:15.
The return leg will depart from Reykjavik at 13:45 and touch down in Copenhagen at 17:55 for a two and a half hour layover. The flight will continue at 20:30 and arrive back in Beijing at 12:20 the following day.
The overall flight time will be fifteen hours and forty-five minutes for the outbound flights and about one hour less for the return. An Airbus A330-300 aircraft will operate the route.
