Lufthansa to resume Frankfurt to Kuala Lumpur flight

July 22nd, 2026. Air China has lined up a new route linking Beijing with the Romanian capital, Bucharest, and its Croatian counterpart, Zagreb, both on the same flight. The flight is scheduled to launch on September 4th and will operate three times a week on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.

Flight number CA913 will take off from Beijing’s Capital International Airport at 00:30 and touch down at Henri Coanda International Airport, Bucharest, at 06:20 for a three-hour layover. The flight will continue at 09:20 and arrive at Zagreb’s Franjo Tuđman Airport at 09:55.

The return journey, flight number CA914, will leave Zagreb at 11:55 and arrive in Bucharest at 14:25. The last leg of the flight leaves Zagreb at 17:25 and lands back in Beijing at 08:05 the following morning.

The overall flight time will be approximately fifteen and a half hours for the outbound journey, and a little over fourteen hours for the return. The airline will deploy an Airbus A330-200 aircraft for the route.

Frankfurt to Kuala Lumpur

On October 25th, Germany’s Lufthansa will revive its service between Frankfurt and Kuala Lumpur after a more than ten-year hiatus. The route will operate five times a week, departing on Sundays, Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays.

Flight number LH704 will depart from Frankfurt International Airport at 21:30 and arrive at Kuala Lumpur International Airport at 04:40 the next morning. The return leg, flight number LH705, will leave Kuala Lumpur at 23:55 on Sundays, Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, and arrive back in Frankfurt at 06:00 the following morning.

A Boeing 787-9 aircraft will be deployed for the route and the journey time will be a little over twelve hours for the outbound flight and about one hour longer for the return.
