New flights from Assam to Dubai and Abu Dhabi. Also, Xiamen to London
June 29th, 2026. Air India Express is planning two new routes out of Guwahati, the largest city of the northeast Indian state of Assam. The first, to Dubai, will launch on August 4th and operate every Tuesday.
Flight number IX213 will take off from Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport, Guwahati, at 12:25 and will land at Dubai International Airport at 16:10. The return leg, flight number IX214, will leave Dubai at 17:10 and land back in Guwahati at 00:25 the next morning.
An Airbus A320 aircraft will serve the route. The outbound flight will last approximately five hours and fifteen minutes, and the return, about half an hour longer.
Three days later, on August 7th, the airline will introduce a service linking Guwahati with Abu Dhabi. This flight will operate once a week only, departing every Friday.
Flight number IX 217 will depart from Guwahati at 11:30 and will touch down in Abu Dhabi at 15:15. The return trip, flight number IX218, will leave Abu Dhabi at 16:15 and arrive back in Guwahati at 23:30.
The outbound flight duration will be listed as five hours and fifteen minutes, and thirty minutes longer for the return. The flight will be served by an Airbus A320 aircraft.
Xiamen to London
A new route between Xiamen and London will be launched on September 6th by Xiamen Airlines. The service will operate three times a week on Sundays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.
Flight number MF821 will take off from Xiamen Gaoqi International Airport at 00:50 and will arrive at London’s Heathrow Airport at 06:35. The return journey leaves the English capital at 12:35 and lands back in Xiamen at 07:00 the next morning.
The outbound flight duration is scheduled at twelve hours and forty-five minutes, and the return, a little under eleven and a half hours. The route will be served by Boeing 787-9 aircraft.
