Qingdao to Taichung route resumed, and new link between Tokyo and Seoul
May 22nd, 2026. Starting from June 25th, IndiGo Air will replace its existing Mumbai to Istanbul service, which has a one-hour stop in Jeddah, with a new non-stop service.
Flight number 6E17 will take off from Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport, Mumbai, at 08:35 daily, and will arrive at Istanbul Grand Airport at 13:50. The return journey, flight number 6E18, will leave Istanbul at 17:55 and will land back in Mumbai at 04:05 the following morning.
An Airbus A321 XLR will serve the route, and the flight time will be seven hours and forty-five minutes each way.
Qingdao to Taichung
Shandong Airlines will resume its route between Qingdao and Taichung after a seven-year hiatus. The new service will operate once a week on Thursdays starting on July 23rd.
Flight number SC4633 will depart from Qingdao’s Jiaodong International Airport at 07:50 and arrive at Ching Chuang Kang Airport, Taichung at 10:20. The return leg, flight number SC4634, will leave Taichung at 11:20 and land back in Qingdao at 13:50.
The journey time will be two and a half hours in each direction, and the route will be served by Boeing 737-800 aircraft.
Tokyo to Seoul
Japanese low-cost airline, Peach, will launch a route linking Tokyo and Seoul. The service will operate daily after a launch date of September 20th.
Flight number MM651 will take off from Tokyo’s Narita Airport at 09:30 and touch down at Seoul Incheon Airport at 12:25. The return trip, flight number MM652, will leave Tokyo at 13:35 and land back in Seoul at 16:15.
Airbus A320 Neo aircraft will serve the route. The outbound flight time will be a little under three hours, and the return will be about two hours and forty minutes.
