New routes to Lanzhou and Okinawa

May 18th, 2026. A once-a-week service between Hong Kong and Lanzhou will be launched by Hong Kong Airlines on May 26th. Lanzhou is the capital of Gansu province and hugs the south bank of the Yellow River. The city is famous for Lanzhou beef noodles in a clear, spicy broth and for its waterwheels.

The service will operate every Tuesday commencing on May 26th. Flight number HX2507 will take off from Hong Kong International Airport at 15:45 and will land at Lanzhou Zhongchuan International Airport at 19:10. The return leg, flight number HX2508, will leave Lanzhou at 20:10 and touch down again in Hong Kong at 23:55.

The outbound journey time will be three and a half hours, and about fifteen minutes longer for the return. Airbus A320 aircraft will serve the route.

Hong Kong to Okinawa

Greater Bay Airlines has lined up a new service between Hong Kong and Okinawa commencing on July 11th. The fight will operate six days a week with no service on Fridays.

Over the six days, the booking platform offers five different time slots. On Sundays, flight number HB336 will depart from Hong Kong at 09:20 and arrive at Naha Airport at 12:40; Mondays, 10:55 – 14:40; Tuesdays and Thursdays, 08:20 – 12:00; Wednesdays, 09:40 – 12:00; and Saturdays, 08:15 – 11:50.

The return leg, flight number HB337, departs from Naha on Sundays 13:40 – 15:10; Mondays, 15:40 – 17:25; Tuesdays and Thursdays, 13:00 – 14:40; Wednesdays, 14:15 – 15:50; and Saturdays, 12:50 – 14:35.

A Boeing 737-800 aircraft is earmarked for the route, and the journey time will be somewhere between two and a half and three hours.
