Three cool new routes
Hong Kong to Guiyang, Taichung to Jeju, and Jakarta to Manado
June 11th, 2025. Starting on July 31st HK Express will introduce direct flights between Hong Kong and Guiyang in Guizhou Province, China. The airline will operate four flights a week, two morning and two evening services.
The morning flights will be on Tuesdays and Thursdays with flight number UO246 departing from Hong Kong International Airport at 06:10 and arriving at Guiyang Longdongbao International Airport at 08:10. The return leg, flight number UO247 leaves Guiyang at 08:55 and lands back in Hong Kong at 11:05.
The evening flight will operate on Sundays and Fridays with flight number UO244 departing from Hong Kong at 20:35 and arriving in Guiyang at 22;20. It returns as UO245 departing from Guiyang at 23:20 and arriving back in Hong Kong at 01:25 the next morning.
The flight duration is approximately two hours. No aircraft is specified on the HK Express website but their fleet is all Airbus A320 or A321.
Taichung and Jeju
Low-cost airline Tigerair Taiwan has opened bookings for a service linking Taichung with the South Korean island, Jeju. The service will operate twice a week taking off in Jeju on June 30th.
Flight number IT633 will depart from Jeju International Airport on Saturdays and Mondays. The Saturday flight will depart at 20:05 and arrive in Taichung at 21:10. On Mondays the service departs at at 20:55 and lands at 22:05. The return leg, flight number IT632 departs from Taichung at 07:00 on Sundays and Tuesdays arriving back in Jeju at 10:00.
The duration of the flight will be approximately two hours and will be served by Airbus A320 aircraft.
Jakarta to Manado
Indonesia AirAsia will be launching a new domestic route between Jakarta and Manado at the northeastern tip of Sulawesi. The service will operate five times a week starting from July 17th but with two different time slots.
On Sundays, Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays flight number QZ700 will depart from Jatkarta’s Soekarno Hatta International Airport at 00:50 and arrive at Sam Ratulangi International Airport, Manado at 05:10. The return leg, flight number QZ701, leaves Manado at 05:40 and arrives back in Jakarta at 07:55.
On Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays QZ700 will take off from Jakarta at 01:30 and arrive in Manado at 05:45. The return flight, QZ701, departs from Manado at 06:15 arriving back in Jakarta at 08:35.
The journey takes around three hours and twenty minutes in each direction and will be on board an Airbus A320 aircraft.
