South China Tigers Fixtures kick off
Hong Kong rugby fans suffering withdrawal symptoms from the postponement of the annual sevens tournament might like to consider supporting the South China Tigers in the inaugural season of Global Rapid Rugby. This is a modified version of fifteen-a-side rugby designed promote running and lots of tries. Much like sevens rugby. A detailed version of the rules can be found here.
The South China Tigers season kicks off on Friday, April 24, at the Hong Kong Stadium when they take on Fijian Latui. Kick off is at 19.15. This is followed on Friday, May 1, against Manuma Samoa, also at the Hong Kong Stadium, Kick off at 18.45; China Lions on Saturday, May 9, at Sui Sai Wan sports ground, kick off at 15.45; Western Force from Perth, Australia on Sunday, May 17, at Sui Sai Wan sports ground, kick off at 15.45 and Malaysia Valke on Saturday, May 23, at Aberdeen sports ground, kick off at 15.45.
Tickets for all matches can be found here. Season tickets for all five matches are available and kids under 12-years of age get in free with a paying adult.
Hopefully the Covid-19 virus will have packed up and gone by then and things will be returning to normal.
