Permission to Drone in Singapore

Visitors bringing a drones into Singapore must now register it before they may fly it.

Any unmanned aircraft (UA) weighing 250 grams or above must now be registered with the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS). The registration process requires the purchase of a registration label. This can be done online or at one of the designated SingPost offices. Completion of the registration must be done online.

The registration labels cost S$15 and registrants must be at least 16 years old.

Singaporeans and residents are allowed up to five registration labels each but visitors are allowed only one. For existing drone pilots there is a three month grace period, which began on January 2, to allow time for registration. After April 2 anyone flying an unregistered drone could face a fine of up to S$10,000, six months in prison or both.
