New services to Male and Colombo
S7 Airlines and French Bee both have new routes on the timetable
September 14th, 2026. The Russian carrier has new flights from Novosibirsk to the Maldives and Sri Lanka lined up. First on the runway will be a service to the Maldives, which will operate on Mondays and Fridays starting on October 30th.
Flight number S75805 will take off from Tolmachevo International Airport, Novosibirsk, at 04:25 and will arrive at Male’s Velana International Airport at 13:00. The return Journey will leave Male at 14:10 and will land back in Novosibirsk at 02:30 the next morning.
The journey time will be approximately ten and a half hours each way with a 50-minute refuelling stop in Jaipur. The route will be served by Airbus A320 aircraft.
To Sri Lanka
The route to Sri Lanka will launch on December 20th and will operate twice a week on Sundays and Thursdays.
Flight number S75809 will depart from Novosibirsk at 05:00 and arrive at Bandaranaike International Airport, Colombo at 13:40. The return leg, flight number S75810, will leave Colombo at 14:50 and arrive back in Novosibirsk at 02:15 the next morning.
This route also has a 50-minute refuelling stop in Jaipur. The total journey time will be ten hours and ten minutes for the outbound flight, and fifteen minutes less for the return.
Paris to Male and Colombo
Starting on December 19th, low-cost carrier French Bee will launch an interesting long-haul shuttle from Paris, calling at the Maldives and Sri Lanka before returning to Paris. The service will depart twice a week on Thursdays and Saturdays.
Flight number BF770 will take off from Orly International Airport, Paris, at 19:30 and will arrive in Male at 09:25 the next morning. The flight will continue at 10:55 after a 90-minute layover, arriving in Colombo at 12:55. The flight will leave Colombo at 14:55 and finally arrive back in Paris at 21:30.
The Paris to Male leg is scheduled to last nine hours and fifty-five minutes. From Male to Colombo, ninety minutes, and Colombo back to Paris will be eleven hours and five minutes. An Airbus A450-900 will serve the route.
