New routes to Vietnam
From Astana to Phu Quoc

AirAsia Cambodia has announced two new flights between its hub in Phnom Penh and Vietnam. The first with hit the runway on December 22nd and fly four times a week to Ho Chi Minh City.

Flight number KT600 will depart from Phnom Penh International Airport at 11:50 every Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, and Friday and arrive at Ho Chi Minh City’s Tan Son Nhat International Airport at 12:55.

The return journey, flight number KT601, will take off from Ho Chi Minh City at 13:25 and arrive back in Phnom Penh at 14:15. The flight time is approximately one hour.

Commencing January 24, 2025, the airline will fly three times a week to Hanoi on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Flight number KT620 will depart from Phnom Penh at 11:50 and touch down at Hanoi’s Noi Bai International Airport at 11:50.

The return leg, flight number KT621, will leave Hanoi at 12:20 and land back in Phnom Penh at 14:20 after a flight of about two hours.

AirAsia Cambodia launched its first flight in May 2024, a domestic route between Phnom Penh and Siem Reap. The two routes bring its total number of international destinations to four, the others being from Phnom Penh to Kuala Lumpur and Siem Reap to Singapore.

From Astana to Phu Quoc

Kazakhstan’s flag carrier, Air Astana will launch a service between its capital, Astana, and Phu Quoc. The flight will commence on December 3rd and operate on Sundays, Tuesdays, and Fridays.

Flight number KC173 will depart from Astana’s Nursultan Nazarbayev International Airport at 21:30 and arrive in Phu Quoc at 07:45 the next morning. The return leg, flight number KC174, will take off from Phu Quoc at 09:15, on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays, and arrive back in Astana at 16:15.

The flight will deploy an Airbus A321 Neo and will take approximately nine hours.

This new service compliments the recently inaugurated Almaty to Phu Quoc service giving Kazakh travellers more departure point options.
