May 1st, 2026. China Eastern will be relaunching two routes to Southeast Asia towards the end of June. The first one onto the runway will be a daily service between Nanjing and Singapore, which will take off on June 20th.

Flight number MU7705 will depart from Nanjing Lukou International Airport at 10:45 and will arrive at Changi Airport, Singapore at 16:25. The return trip, flight number MU7706, will leave Singapore at 17:30 and land back in Nanjing at 23:20.

The flight duration will be approximately five hours and forty-five minutes in each direction, and the route will be served by Airbus A320 Neo aircraf

Beijing to Bali

This will be followed five days later with a service linking Beijing and Bali, which will commence on June 25th. The flight will operate three times a week, departing on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.

Flight number MU889 will take off from Beijing Daxing International Airport at 15:30 and touch down at Ngurah Rai International Airport in Denpasar, Bali at 23:30. The return leg, flight number MU890, will depart from Denpasar at 00:30 on Sundays, Wednesdays, and Fridays and will arrive back in Beijing at 07:40.

An Airbus A330-300 aircraft will serve the route, and the journey time will be eight hours for the outbound flight and a little over seven hours for the return.

Mumbai to Hanoi

Indian low-cost carrier, Akasa Air, has lined up a new route connecting Mumbai with the Vietnamese capital, Hanoi. The service will operate four times a week on Sundays, Mondays, Fridays, and Saturdays starting from September 4th.

Flight number QP625 will depart from Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport, Mumbai, at 05:35 and arrive at Hanoi’s Noi Bai International Airport at 12:00. The return journey, flight number QP626, will leave Hanoi at 13:30 and will arrive back in Mumbai at 17:10.

The journey will last about five hours in each direction, and the flight will be served by Boeing 737 Max 8 aircraft.

Akasa Air’s website was down when I checked, but Skyscanner listed a few agents.
