Iran’s Mahan Air adds services to Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh
August 7th, 2026. Riyadh Air is expanding into Pakistan with two new services lined up from the Saudi capital. The first is a daily service to Islamabad, which will hit the runway on August 14th.
Flight number RX 659 will depart from King Khalid International Airport, Riyadh, at 13:45 and will arrive at Islamabad International Airport at 20:00. The return leg, flight number RX 660, leaves Islamabad at 21:30 and arrives back in Riyadh at midnight, local time.
A Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner will serve the route, and the flight time will be four hours and fifteen minutes for the outbound trip, and about fifteen minutes longer for the return.
Four days later, on August 18th, the airline will introduce a service to Lahore. This route will operate three times a week on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.
Flight number RX675 will depart from Riyadh at 13:40 and arrive at Allama Iqbal International Airport, Lahore, at 19:50. The return journey, flight number RX676, will leave Lahore at 21:20 and land back in Riyadh at midnight.
The outbound journey will last for four hours and ten minutes, and the return will be about half an hour longer. This flight will also be served by a Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner.
Tehran to Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City
Iran’s Mahan Air is to launch services to Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. Hanoi will be a limited-time service, taking off on September 6th will operate once a fortnight until October 19th.
Flight number W55115 will depart from Tehran’s Imam Khomeini International Airport on Sundays at 22:00 and will arrive at Noi Bai International Airport, Hanoi at 09:10 the following morning. The return leg, flight number W55114, will leave Hanoi at 22:40 on Mondays and touch down again in Tehran at 03:00 the next morning.
The journey will take around seven hours and forty minutes and will be served by an Airbus A340-300 aircraft.
The Ho Chi Minh City flight launches on October 25th and again, only operates every two weeks, departing on Sundays.
Flight number W5113 takes off from Tehran at 22:00 and arrives at Tan Son Nhat International Airport, Ho Chi Minh, at 09:15 the next day. The return journey, flight number W5112, will leave Ho Chi Minh City at 22:45 on Mondays and will land back in Tehran at 03:30.
The route will also be served by an Airbus A340-300 aircraft, and the journey time will be seven hours and forty-five minutes for the outbound flight, and about half an hour longer for the return.
