And from Hong Kong to Yonago

November 12th, 2024. Air Canada will resume its service between Vancouver and Beijing from January 15th, 2025. It will also bump its flights between Vancouver and Shanghai to daily starting from December 7th.

“We are resuming our non-stop services between Canada and Beijing and increasing our flights between Canada and Shanghai, reflecting the importance of these markets in Air Canada’s global network,” said Air Canada’s executive vice president of revenue and network planning, Mark Galardo.

“With the investments we have made at our YVR hub linking Air Canada’s extensive North American network to our international flights, travelling between North America and Asia is convenient and compelling for leisure and business travellers alike.”

Flight number AC029 will depart from Terminal M at Vancouver International Airport at 11.40 and arrive at Beijing Capital International Airport at 17:00 the following day. The return leg, Flight number AC030, will leave Beijing at 18:55 and land back in Vancouver at 14:05.

Passengers for Shanghai will depart from Vancouver on flight number AC025 at 11:15 and touch down at Shanghai’s Pudong International Airport at 16:00 the following day. The return journey, flight number AC026, will take off from Shanghai at 17:50 and arrive back in Vancouver at 12:10.

Both flights will deploy a three-class Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner with economy, premium economy and business cabins.

And from Hong Kong to Yonago

Meanwhile, Hong Kong’s Greater Bay Airlines has launched a new route between the city and Yonago in southwest Japan. The carrier is Hong Kong’s newest low-cost airline having inaugurated its first flight in July 2022. It now serves destinations in eight countries with this flight being their fifth to Japan.

The service operates three days a week with two time slots. On Tuesdays and Thursdays flight number HB356 departs from Hong Kong’s Chek Lap Kok Airport at 10:55 and arrives at Yonago’s Kitaro Airport at 15:20. The return leg, flight number HB357, departs from Yonago at 16:20 and arrives back in Hong Kong at 20:00.

On Sunday the flight departs from Hong Kong at 11:45 and arrives in Yonago at 16:20. It begins its return journey at 17:20 and touches down again in Hong Kong at 20:45.
