New flight from Abu Dhabi to Taipei
And also to Peshawar
April 30th, 2025. Etihad Airways will launch flights between Abu Dhabi and Taipei starting on September 7th, inaugurating the first direct link between the two cities.
Flight number EY898 will take off from Zayed International Airport at 21:20 and arrive at Taiwan Taoyuan Airport, Taipei at 09:35 the following morning. The return leg, flight number EY 899, will leave Taipei at 19:25 and land back in Abu Dhabi at fifteen minutes past midnight.
The flight will be served by Boeing 787-9 aircraft and the duration will be eight hours and fifteen minutes for the outbound journey and thirty-five minutes longer for the return.
Abu Dhabi to Peshawar
The airline will also be adding services to Peshawar starting from September 29th. The service will initially operate on Sundays, Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays but will increase to a daily from November 22nd.
Peshawar boasts a history that dates back over 2,500 years making it one of the oldest cities in South Asia. It sits in a broad valley about 20 kilometres to the east of the Khyber Pass,
“We are thrilled to further expand our presence in Pakistan by launching our daily service between Abu Dhabi and Peshawar.” said the airline’s Chief Executive Officer Antonoaldo Neves. “This new route reflects our commitment to providing vital connectivity for travellers between Pakistan and the Gulf, Africa, Europe, and North America.”
The service is Etihad’s fourth destination in Pakistan after Karachi, Islamabad and Lahore.
Flight number EY276 will depart from Abu Dhabi at 02:45 and will touch down at Peshawar’s Bacha Khan Airport at 06:55. The return journey, flight number EY277, departs from Peshawar at 08:50 and lands back in Abu Dhabi at 11:15.
The flight time is three hours and ten minutes for the outward journey and about fifteen minutes longer for the return. The Airline will deploy Airbus A320 aircraft.
