New domestic route for Sun PhuQuoc
Flynas links Riyadh and Male, and Malaysia Airlines heads to Doha
May 15th, 2026. Sun PhuQuoc Airways has an interesting new domestic route lined up linking Ho Chi Minh City with the northeastern province of Quang Ninh which is home to the famous Halong Bay. The service will operate three times a week on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.
Flight number 9G1568 will take off from Ho Chi Minh’s Tan Son Nhat International Airport at 15:30 and will arrive at Van Don International Airport at 17:30. The return leg, flight number 9G1569, will leave from Van Don at 18:10 and arrive back in Ho Chi Minh at 20:30.
The outbound flight will last about two hours, and the return, about twenty minutes longer. The route will be served by Airbus A321 Aircraft.
Riyadh to the Maldives
Saudi Arabian low-cost carrier Flynas will be reintroducing its service between Riyadh and the Maldives. The flight will operate three times a week on Tuesdays. Thursdays and Saturdays.
Flight number XY245 will depart from Riyadh’s King Khalid International Airport at 04:50 and will touch down at Velana International, Male at 12:55. The return leg, flight number XY246, will leave Male at 13:55 and land back in Riyadh at 17:55.
An Airbus A320 Neo will be deployed for the route, and the journey time will be approximately six hours in each direction.
I wasn’t able to access the Flynas website to check reservations, but Skyscanner shows several agents offering the route.
Kuala Lumpur to Doha
Malaysia Airlines is set to resume its daily service between Kuala Lumpur and Doha from July 2nd onwards.
Flight number MH164 will take off from Kuala Lumpur International Airport at 02:40 and touch down at Hamad International Airport, Doha at 05:15. The return trip, flight number MH165, will leave Doha at 08:05 and arrive back in Kuala Lumpur at 20:40.
The flight time will be about seven and a half hours in each direction, and the route will be served by Airbus A350 aircraft except on Wednesdays when an Airbus A330 will be deployed.
