Jetstar flying to Komodo
Bali to Perth, Australia
JANUARY 20th, 2025. A new, twice-weekly service will connect Singapore with Indonesia’s Labuan Bajo. The service, operated by Jetstar Asia will operate on Thursdays as Sundays and will be launched on March 20th.
Thanks to its proximity to the islands of Komodo and Rinca, home of the famous Komodo dragons, Labuan Bajo has gone from being a small fishing village to one of Indonesia’s hottest tourist destinations.
Not only is it the jumping-off point for giant lizard spotting, it also boasts numerous resorts with diving, trekking and kayaking opportunities. Also, the Unesco World Heritage village of Wae Rebo, with its cone-shaped houses, is just a five-hour drive, followed by a short hike.
Flight number 3K263 will hit the runway at 14:10 from Terminal 4 at Singapore’s Changi Airport. It will land at Komodo International Airport in Labuan Bajo at 17:20. The return leg, flight number 3K264, departs Labuan Bajo at 18:00 and arrives back in Singapore at 21:10.
The duration of the flight will be a little over three hours and will be served by Airbus A320-200 aircraft.
Bali to Perth, Australia
On the same day, March 20th, TransNusa Aviation will launch a new service connecting Bali with the capital of Western Australia, Perth. The flight will operate three times a week, on Mondays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, initially. On April 12th a Tuesday flight will be added and from June 1st the service will become daily.
Flight Number 8B-80 will depart for Bali’s International Airport at Denpasar at 09:10 and touch down in Perth at 12:25. The return trip, flight number 8B-81 will depart from Perth at 13:55 and arrive back in Bali at 17:40.
The airline will deploy Airbus A320-200 aircraft and the flight duration will be about six hours.
