Darwin gets new flights from Bali
Thai Air Asia expands domestic network
January 10th, 2025 Indonesia Air Asia will be adding three new flights a week between Bali and Darwin, in Australia’s Northern Territory. The service, which will add over 1,000 new seats on the route will commence from March 22nd.
“Bali is now our largest hub in terms of flight capacity, driven by strong demand. These direct flights will cater to the enduring popularity of Bali as a destination for Australians and offer great low-fare connections to over 130 destinations across the AirAsia Group network,” said Indonesia AirAsia CEO Veranita Yosephine.
“At the same time, millions of guests from across Asia will be welcomed to the Northern Territory. They will discover the extraordinary culture, wildlife and natural beauty of Kakadu National Park, Arnhem Land and other iconic locations where the tropics meet the outback,” she continued.
Flight number QZ540 will depart from Bali’s Ngurah Rai International Airport on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays at 11:40 and arrive at Darwin International Airport at 15:55.
The return service, flight number QZ541 takes off from Darwin at 16:35 and arrives back in Bali at 17:55.
Thai Air Asia expands domestic network
Meanwhile, Thai Air Asia is adding two new routes to its domestic services commencing February 1st. Both will depart from Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi Airport and serve the northeastern cities of Khon Kaen and Udon Thani.
Flight number FD4501 will depart daily at 10:20 and arrive at Khon Kaen at 11.25. The return leg, flight number FD4501 will depart from Khon Kaen at 11.55 and arrive back in Bangkok at 13:00.
The airline will be offering two flights a day to Udon Thani. An early morning flight, number FD4350, will depart Bangkok at 07:00 and arrive in Udon Thani at 08:10. The return flight, number FD4351 takes off from Udon Thani at 08:40 and lands back in Bangkok at 09:45.
An evening service, flight number FD 4352, will leave Bangkok at 18:15 and arrive in Udon Thani at 19:30. The return Journey, flight number FD4353 will take off from Udon Thani at 20:00 and touch down again in Bangkok at 21:10.
