Plus new routes between Chengdu and Taichung, Phu Quoc and Singapore
May 28th, 2026. Himalaya Airlines is now taking reservations for a new service connecting the Nepali capital, Kathmandu, with China’s southern tech hub, Shenzhen. The flight will operate twice a week starting on June 5th.
Flight number H9985 will take off from Kathmandu’s Tribhuvan International Airport at 21:50 on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and arrive at Bao’an International Airport, Shenzhen at 04:30 the following morning. The return journey, flight number H9986, will leave Shenzhen at 05:55 on Wednesdays and Fridays, and touch down back in Kathmandu at 08:35.
The outbound trip is scheduled to last four hours and twenty-five minutes, and the return, about thirty minutes less. The route will be served by an Airbus A320 aircraft.
Chengdu to Taichung
On July 1st, China Eastern Airlines will launch a new route between Chengdu and Taichung. The service will operate twice a week on Sundays and Wednesdays.
Flight number MU827 will depart from Tianfu International Airport, Chengdu, at 13:40 and arrive at Taichung International Airport at 17:00. The return leg, flight number MU828, will leave Taichung at 18:00 and arrive back in Chengdu at 21:05.
An Airbus A320 Neo aircraft will serve the route, and the duration will be about three hours and twenty minutes for the outbound journey and a little over three hours for the return.
Phu Quoc to Singapore
Sun PhuQuoc Airways is poised to become the first full-service carrier operating between Vietnam’s popular holiday island, Phu Quoc, and Singapore. The route will operate daily with the inaugural flight hitting the runway on July 25th.
Flight number 9G721 will depart from Phu Quoc International Airport at 10:35 and will arrive at Singapore’s Changi International Airport at 13:20. The return leg, flight number 9G720, will leave Singapore at 14:20 and land back in Phu Quoc at 15:05.
The flight will be served by Airbus A321 Neo aircraft, and the duration of the flight will be about one hour and forty-five minutes in each direction.
