Cambodia Airways to launch Sihanoukville to Guangzhou service
July 13th, 2026. Hong Kong’s flag carrier, Cathay Pacific, is planning to resume its services from Hong Kong to two Middle East destinations, Dubai and Riyadh, from September onwards. First on the runway will be a daily service to Dubai, which will take off on September 1st.
Flight number CX731 will depart from Hong Kong International Airport at 17:45 and will land at Dubai International Airport at 21:30. The return journey, flight number CX738, will leave Dubai at 22:50 and arrive back in Hong Kong at 10:40 the next morning.
The flight duration will be a little under eight hours, and the flight will be served by Boeing 777-300 aircraft.
The route to Riyadh commences on September 3rd and will operate four times a week on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays.
Flight number CX647 will take off from Hong Kong at 16:00 and will arrive at King Khalid International Airport, Riyadh at 21:05. The return leg, flight number CX648, will depart from Riyadh at 22:25 and arrive back in Hong Kong at 12:15 the following morning.
The duration of the outbound journey will be about ten hours, and the return a little under nine hours. The route will be served by an Airbus A350-900 aircraft.
Sihanoukville to Guangzhou
A new service linking Sihanoukville with Guangzhou is to be launched by Cambodia Airways. The service will operate on Mondays and Fridays starting on July 17th.
Flight number KR933 will depart from Sihanouk International Airport at 09:00 and will arrive at Baiyun International Airport, Guangzhou at 13:10. The return trip, flight number KR934, will leave from Guangzhou at 14:10 and arrive back in Sihanoukville at 16:15.
An Airbus A320 aircraft has been earmarked for the route, and the journey time will be a little over three hours in each direction.
