Getting there from Amsterdam

Cathay Pacific is set to reinstate its direct flights to Hyderabad, the capital of India’s Telangana state in India. The service will commence on March 30th, 2025 with three flights a week on Wednesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays. This will increase to five times a week from the beginning of September with the addition of flights on Thursdays and Fridays.

Thanks to Cathay’s codeshare agreements with bus and ferry operators, passengers arriving in Hong Kong can enjoy seamless transfers to seven destinations in the Greater Bay Area via the SkyPier at Chek Lap Kok.

Flight number CX673 will take off from Hong Kong’s Chek Lap Kok Airport at 21:35 and arrive at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport in Hyderabad at 00:45 the next morning.

The return leg, flight number CX672, will depart from Hyderabad at 01:50 on Thursdays, Sundays and Mondays arriving back in Hong Kong at 09:30 until September 2nd when there will also be flights on Fridays and Saturdays.

The duration of the flight is about five hours and ten minutes and will be served by Airbus A330-300 aircraft.

Currently Cathay Pacific flies to four destinations in India; Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, and Mumbai.

Getting there from Amsterdam

For those that like to plan well ahead KLM Royal Dutch Airlines will be launching flights to Hyderabad from September 2nd, 2025.

The service will operate on Sundays, Tuesdays, and Fridays with flight number KL0873 departing from Amsterdam’s Schiphol Airport at 11.40 and arriving in Hyderabad at 00:30 the following morning.

The return leg, flight number KL0874 will take off from Hyderabad at 02:20 on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays, arriving back in the Dutch capital at 08:40.

The route will be served by the KLM’s Boeing 777-300ER aircraft and will take approximately nine hours. The airline has also announced plans to increase the number of flights between Amsterdam and Bengaluru as well as Amsterdam to Delhi.
