ANA flies back to Perth

October 18th, 2024. Japanese carrier All Nippon Airways (ANA) arrived back in Perth this week, a fortnight earlier than planned due to overwhelming demand. The flight is a seasonal route that will operate until March 27th, 2025 to take advantage of the holiday traffic.

The airline will operate three flights a week between Tokyo’s Narita Airport and Perth boasting business class, premium economy and economy class cabins on board a Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner.

Flight number NH881 will depart from Tokyo every Monday, Thursday and Saturday at 11:20 and touches down in Perth at 20:30. The return leg, flight number NH882, takes off from Perth at 21:55 and arrives back in Tokyo at 08:30 the following morning. The flight duration is approximately ten hours.

“The return of ANA’s service means that there are more options for business and leisure travellers, and it will also lead to many more Japanese and other international visitors coming to Western Australia,” said Kate Holsgrove, Perth Airport’s chief commercial and aviation officer.

ANA also operates year-round services between Tokyo and Sydney.

Jetstar gets Seoul

Qantas will end all its services between Sydney and Seoul in June 2025 but their low-cost subsidiary, Jetstar, will pick up the slack increasing its flights to a daily service. The switch should lead to more available seats on the route.

Flight number JQ47 will take off from Sydney at 10:45 and arrive at Seoul’s Incheon Airport at 20:15. The return leg, flight number JQ48, will leave Seoul at 21:50 touching down again in Sydney at 09:05 the next morning.

The flight duration is approximately ten hours and will be served by a Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner.
