Xiamen Airlines connects Fuzhou with Amsterdam

April 20th, 2026. Singapore Airlines will be launching a daily service connecting the Lion City with Hangzhou. The route will complement its low-cost sibling, Scoot’s, service to the same city. Hangzhou straddles the Qiantang River and is the capital of Zhejiang province in China. The flight will operate daily commencing on June 1st.

Flight number SQ838 will take off from Singapore’s Changi Airport at 17:40 and will arrive at Xiaoshan International Airport, Hangzhou at 22:50. The return leg, flight number SQ839, will leave Hangzhou at 00:10 and arrive back in Singapore at 05:10.

The journey time in each direction will be about five hours, and the route will be served by Airbus A350-900 aircraft.

Fuzhou to Amsterdam

Xiamen Airlines will be launching a route connecting Fuzhou with the Dutch capital, and commercial hub, Amsterdam. The flight will operate twice a week on Wednesdays and Saturdays, although the inaugural flight will hit the runway on Tuesday, June 23rd.

Flight number MF813 will take off from Changle International Airport, Fuzhou, at 12:15 and will arrive at Amsterdam’s Schiphol Airport at 18:30. The return leg, flight number MF814, leaves Amsterdam at 21:30 and arrives back in Fuzhou at 14:45 the next afternoon.

The flight will be served by Boeing 787-9 aircraft, and the journey time will be twelve hours and fifteen minutes for the outbound journey and about one hour less for the return.

Changsha launch postponed

Thai Airways International has delayed the launch of its route to Changsha. The service was to commence on May 10th, but this has now been pushed back to June 1st.

Flight number TG694 will take off from Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi International Airport at 15:50 and arrive at Huanghua International Airport, Changsha at 20:20. The return trip, flight number TG695, will leave Changsha at 21:20 and touch down again in Bangkok at 23:45.

The flight will last for about three and a half hours in each direction and will be served by Airbus A321 Neo aircraft.
