Xiamen Airlines flies to Cebu
Laos Airways and Vietnam Airlines also launch new routes
March 13th, 2026. Xiamen Airlines is introducing a new route linking Quanzhou and Cebu. The service launches on Sunday, March 29th, but beyond that, the flights will operate twice a week on Tuesdays and Saturdays.
Flight number MF8695 will depart from Quanzhou’s Jinjiang International Airport at 14:45 and arrive at Mactan-Cebu International Airport at 17:50. The return leg, flight number MF8696, will leave Cebu at 18:50 and touch down again in Quanzhou at 21:50.
The journey time will be about three hours in each direction, and the flight will be on board a Boeing 737-800 aircraft.
Vientiane to Da Nang
Also taking off on March 29th is the resumption of Laos Airways service between Vientiane and Da Nang. The route will operate twice a week on Sundays and Thursdays.
Flight number QV317 will depart from Wattay International Airport, Vientiane at 11:20 and land at Da Nang International Airport at 12:40. The return trip, flight number QV 318 will leave Da Nang at 13:50 and arrive back in the Lao capital at 15:10.
A Comac 909 will serve the route, and the journey time will be about 80 minutes each way.
Ho Chi Minh City to Phuket
On April 2nd, Vietnam Airlines will also resume its service between Ho Chi Minh City and Phuket. The flight will operate four times a week on Sundays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.
Flight number VN621 will take off from Ho Chi Minh City’s Tan Son Nhat International Airport at 16:00 and land at Phuket Airport at 17:50. The return journey, flight number VN620, will leave Phuket at 18:45 and touch down again in Ho Chi Minh City at 20:45.
An Airbus A321 will make the trip, which will last for about two hours in each direction.
