April 29th, 2025. Qanot Sharq is expanding its footprint in China with two new services between the Uzbek capital, Tashkent, and both Guangzhou and Shanghai. First on the runway will be a twice-weekly service to Guangzhou starting on May 19th

Flight number HH871 will depart from Tashkent International Airport at 17:20 on Mondays and Thursdays and arrive at Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport at 03:10 the following morning. The return service, flight number HH872, will depart from Guangzhou at 04:50 on Tuesdays and Fridays and arrive back in Tashkent at 09:40.

The flight time to Guangzhou will be six hours and fifty minutes and an hour longer for the return. An Airbus A321 aircraft will be deployed for the service.

The twice-a-week service from Tashkent to Shanghai’s Pudong will take off on June 2nd. Flight number HH865 will depart from Tashkent at 18:50 on Mondays and Thursdays and touch down in Shanghai at 05:00 the next morning. The return leg, flight number HH866, leaves Shanghai at 06:40 on Tuesdays and Fridays and arrives back in Tashkent at 11:50.

The flight will be served by A330-200 aircraft. The outward flight time will be seven hours and ten minutes and an hour longer for the return.

Lion Air will fly to Changsha and Surabaya

Thai Lion also has a new daily flight from Bangkok’s Don Mueang Airport to Changsha in China.

The service will take off on May 4th with SL934 departing from Bangkok at 09:20 and arriving at Changsha Huanghua International Airport at 13:35. The return journey, flight number SL935, leaves Changsha at 14:35 and arrives back in Bangkok at 16:50.

The flight duration will be three hours and fifteen minutes in each direction and will be served by Boeing 737-800 aircraft.

The airline also has a new service to Surabaya, Indonesia, launching on May 30th. The flight will operate three times a week on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.

Flight number SL268 will depart from Bangkok’s Don Mueang Airport at 11:20 and will arrive at Surabaya’s Juanda International Airport at 15:20. The return leg departs from Surabaya at 16:20 and lands back in Bangkok at 20:30.

The flight will be served by Boeing 737-800 aircraft. The outbound flight time is four hours and the return is fifteen minutes longer.
