Chengdu to Madrid
March 4th, 2025. Starting on June 2nd, full service Taiwanese carrier Starlux Airlines will introduce flights between Taipei and Ontario, California. The service will operate four times a week on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays.
Flight number JX010 will take off from Taipei’s Taoyuan International Airport at 20:05, fly across the Pacific Ocean cross the international dateline, and land in Ontario twelve hours later at 17:05 on the same calendar day. The return Journey, flight number JX009 will depart from Ontario at 23:10 and land back in Taipei at 04:15 two calendar days later.
The return trip takes a little over fourteen hours and the flight will be served by Airbus A350-900 aircraft.
According to the press release Ontario is conveniently located near numerous thriving Asian communities in Southern California thus making Taipei a convenient transit point for passengers to major cities in the Philippines, Thailand, Singapore, Vietnam, and other key destinations across Asia.
This will be the airline’s third destination in California after Los Angeles and San Fransisco, and with Seattle, fourth in total in the US.
Chengdu to Madrid
Sichuan Airlines is to launch a service between Chengdu and Madrid commencing on April 27th. The flight will operate four times a week on Sundays, Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.
The outward journey, flight number 3U3803, will take off from Chengdu’s Tianfu International Airport at 01:40 and arrive at Madrid, Adolfo Suarez Barajas Airport at 08:50. The return leg will leave Madrid at 11:05 and touch down again in Chengdu at 05:00 the following morning.
The airline will deploy Airbus A350-900 aircraft and the outward journey lasts a little over thirteen hours while the return is a little under twelve.
