Hawaiian Airlines and Batik Air to launch flights to Seoul
May 5th, 2025. Hawaiian Airlines will launch direct flights between Seattle and Seoul on September 12th. The service will operate five times a week departing on Sundays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays.
Flight number HA871 will take off from Seattle–Tacoma International Airport at 15:10 and will touch down at Seoul’s Incheon International Airport at 18:35 the following day. The return journey, flight number HA872, will take off from Seoul at 20:35 on Sundays, Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays and land back in Seattle at 14:45.
The duration of the outbound flight will be around eleven hours and twenty-five minutes, the return will be ten hours and ten minutes and an Airbus A330-200 aircraft will serve the route.
Kota Kinabalu to Seoul
Starting on the same day, September 12th, Batik Air Malaysia will also introduce a direct service between Kota Kinabalu and Seoul. The service will operate three times a week departing on Sundays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.
Flight number OD822 will depart from Kota Kinabalu at 23:10 and touch down at Seoul’s Incheon Airport at 05:20 the following morning. The return leg, flight number OD823, will operate on Mondays, Thursdays, and Saturdays taking off from Seoul at 06:20 and arriving back in Kota Kinabalu at 10:45.
The flight will be served by Boeing 737-800 aircraft and the flight time is five hours and ten minutes for the outward journey and about five and a half hours for the return.
•Back in February VietJet announced an interesting new service connecting Ho Chi Minh City with Aukland in New Zealand. This flight was also supposed to launch in September but I’ve been checking the airline’s website every week and reservations have yet to open. I’ll let you know as soon as I hear something.
