Sai Kung half-marathon – Updated
This race has been rescheduled to July 3 due to bad weather conditions
The Hong Kong Government have given the go ahead for local race organisers Action Asia to hold a half-marathon event in Sai Kung. The race will be open to a maximum of five hundred participants and all must be fully vaccinated.
The 2021 Bonaqua Action Sprint Half Marathon will take place on July 3 and will offer two courses; a 12 kilometre and a 21 kilometre course both of which will combine trail and road. It starts at the Pak Tam Chung picnic garden and the racers will be staggered to comply with social distancing rules.
The 12 kilometre course will follow the Lok Wu Country trail for 4.8 kilometres before turning right towards Sai Wan Road and along High Island Reservoir back to Pak Tam Chung finish. The 21 Kilometre race follows the same course but adds part of Maclehose Trail Section One up and down the other side of the reservoir to make up the half-marathon.
