PIA resume Islamabad Manchester service
Flyadeal to introduce Riyadh to Lahore route
October 10th, 2025. Bookings are being accepted for Pakistan International Airlines’ service linking the country’s capital city, Islamabad, with Manchester, the northern English city that is most famous for its two football teams.
But Manchester earns its place in history by being the world’s first industrial city, thanks to the rapid growth of its cotton industry, which drove its expansion. The city sits at the heart of a large conurbation surrounded by Salford, Stockport, and Bolton, with Liverpool a mere fifty kilometres to the west. But it is bordered north and south by the Forest of Bowland National Landscape and the Peak District National Park, respectively, both within easy reach.
The service will commence on October 25th and will operate twice a week on Tuesdays and Saturdays. Flight number PK701 will take off from Islamabad International Airport at 12:20 and will arrive at Manchester International Airport at 16:00. The return leg, flight number PK702, will leave Manchester at 18:00 and land back in Islamabad at 06:50 the following morning.
The route will be served by Boeing 777-200ER aircraft. The outbound flight duration will be approximately eight hours and forty minutes, and the return about one hour less.
Riyadh to Lahore
Meanwhile, Saudi Arabia’s low-cost carrier Flyadeal is introducing a service connecting Riyadh with Pakistan’s second-largest city. Lahore is one of the country’s major economic and industrial hubs, as well as boasting a history that dates back to antiquity.
The service will operate twice a week, on Mondays and Fridays, with flight number F3655 departing from Riyadh’s King Khalid International Airport at 07:55 and arriving at Allama Iqbal International Airport, Lahore at 14:00. The return journey, flight number F3656, will leave Lahore at 15:00 and touch down again in Riyadh at 18:00.
The flight duration is around five hours in each direction and will be served by Airbus A320 aircraft.
