Pacific Island getaways
New routes from Manila to Palau and Saipan, plus a domestic service to Siquijor
December 17th, 2025. Philippine Airlines has lined up two new services to the Pacific Island destinations of Palau and Saipan.
Palau is a nation of about 340 islands in Micronesia, of which Koror is the most populous. Saipan is the capital and largest of the Northern Mariana Islands, which are a territory of the United States.
The route to Palau will depart twice a week on Sundays and Wednesdays. It will take off on March 29th with flight number PR513 departing from Manila’s Ninoy Aquino International Airport at 22:15 and arriving at Palau International Airport, Koror, at 02:00. The return leg, flight number PR514, will leave Koror at 03:10 and touch down again in Manila at 04:55.
The journey time will be about two hours and forty-five minutes in each direction, and the route will be served by Airbus A321 aircraft.
Manila to Saipan
The service to Saipan will also operate twice a week, departing on Sundays and Wednesdays.
Flight number PR2571 will take off from Manila at 19:45 and arrive at Francisco C. Ada Airport, Saipan at 01:45. The return trip, flight number PR2572, will depart from Saipan at 02:50 and will arrive back in Manila at 05:05.
This flight will also be served by Airbus A321 aircraft, but the journey time will be four hours for the outbound flight, and about 15 minutes longer for the return.
The above routes complement the existing Philippine Airlines service to Guam.
Cebu to Siquijor
Meanwhile, Filipino domestic carrier, Sunlight Air, has launched a new service between Cebu and Siquijor in the Visayas, just to the south of Cebu island. The flight operates four times a week on Sundays, Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.
Flight number 2R875 departs from Mactan-Cebu Airport at 10:20 and touches down in Siquijor at 11:20. The return leg, flight number 2R876, leaves Siquijor at 11:40 and arrives back in Cebu at 12:40
The journey time is 60 minutes in each direction on board an ATR 72-500.
