Non-stop from Texas to Queensland

October 29th, 2024. American Airlines has launched a new non-stop flight between Dallas, Texas and Brisbane in Queensland, Australia. This is a seasonal service that will operate five flights a week until December and then daily until March 26th, 2025.

Flight number AA7 takes off from Dallas Fort Worth daily at 21:50 and arrives in Brisbane at 06:15 two calendar days later, after a sixteen-and-a -half hour journey.

The return leg, flight number AA8, departs from Brisbane at 09:40 and arrives back in Dallas at 08:30. The flight is serviced by Boeing 787-9 sporting economy, premium economy, and business classes.

“To have finally landed in the Sunshine State from Dallas-Fort Worth is a momentous occasion for American. With this new route, our customers in Brisbane will have access to our largest hub, from where they can connect to explore unexplored and much-loved destinations around the world,” said José Freig, American Airlines Vice President of International Operations.

Brisbane is the airline’s second destination in Australia and the longest flight in both the airline’s and Brisbane Airport’s networks.

More flights to Adelaide

Singapore Airlines has bumped up the number of its flights to Adelaide from daily to ten flights a week by adding an early morning departure on Sundays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.

The existing service, flight number SQ 279, departs from Singapore’s Changi Airport at 23:40 and arrives in Adelaide at 08:45t the next morning. The return leg, flight number SQ278 takes off from Adelaide at 10:10 and arrives back in Singapore at 14:40.

The morning service, flight number SQ277, departs from Singapore at 08:05 and arrives in Adelaide at 17:20. The return journey leaves from Adelaide at 18:35 and lands back in Singapore at 22:55. Both flights are served by a Boeing 787-10.

China Southern Airlines is also resuming its service between Guangzhou and Adelaide. Flight number CZ663 will depart Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport at 22:10 every Sunday, Wednesday, and Friday and land in Adelaide at 09:55 the next morning. The return journey, flight number CZ664, will depart from Adelaide at 11:30 arriving back in Guangzhou at 18:05.

The flight’s duration is approximately nine hours and will be served by the airlines Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner.
