New VietJet flights to China

JANUARY 22nd, 2025. Starting at the end of March or early April, VietJet will be adding four new flights to its timetable. One each from Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi to Beijing and Guangzhou. The Hanoi to Beijing service will operate three times a week, the other three will be daily.

First on the runway will be the Ho Chi Minh City to Beijing route on March 30th. Flight number VJ3948 will take off from Ho Chi Minh’s Tan Son Nhat Airport at 20:20 and arrive at Beijing’s Daxing International Airport at 02:00 the next day. The return trip, flight number VJ3949, departs from Beijing at 03:00 and will land back in Ho Chi Minh at 06:55. The journey time is about five hours on board an Airbus A320.

A little later flight number VJ3908 will take off from Ho Chi Minh at 21:45 and arrive at Guangzhou’s Baiyun International Airport at 01:30 the following morning. The return journey, flight number VJ3909, will leave Guangzhou at 02:30 and land back in Ho Chi Minh at 04:05. The flight is a little over two and a half hours and will be serviced by an Airbus A321.

Flights from Hanoi

On April 1st, flight number VJ7712 will take off from Hanoi’s Noibai Airport at 20:45 on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays and arrive in Beijing at 01:10 the following morning. The return leg, flight number VJ7713, will depart from Beijing at 02:15 on Sundays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, and arrive back in Hanoi at 04:50. The flight is around three and a half hours and the airline will deploy an Airbus A320.

On the day, flight number VJ7526 will take off from Hanoi at 23:25 and arrive in Guangzhou at 02:05 the next morning. The return trip, flight number VJ7527, will depart from Guangzhou at 03:05 and arrive back in Hanoi at 04:00. The flight will be serviced by an Airbus A321 and the duration is 100 minutes to Guangzhou and a little under two hours return.

These new routes complement the airline’s existing services to Shanghai, Chengdu, and Xi’an bringing the total number of destinations in China to seven
