Pelita Air launch Jakarta to Singapore

August 6th, 2025. Commencing on December 1st, Thai Lion Air will launch flights between Bangkok and Sapporo via Kaohsiung. The flight will operate three times a week on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.

Flight number SL392 will take off from Bangkok’s Don Mueang International Airport at 05:35 and arrive at Kaohsiung International Airport at 10:05 for a sixty minute stopover. The flight will depart Kaohsiung at 11:05 and arrive at Sapporo’s New Chitose Airport at 16:00.

The return leg, flight number SL393, departs from Sapporo at 17:00 and touches down in Kaohsiung at 20:55. It will continue its journey at 21:55, landing back in Bangkok at 00:25 the next morning.

A Boeing 737-800 aircraft will serve the route. The total outward journey time will be about eight and a half hours, and the return an hour longer. The flight time between Bangkok and Kaohsiung will be three and a half hours in each direction.

This service will be in addition to the four flights a week the airline already operates between Bangkok and Kaohsiung which will see that sector increase to seven flights a week.

Pelita Air to Singapore

Indonesian carrier, Pelita Air, will be launching a new daily service on the busy Jakarta to Singapore route. The inaugural flight takes off on August 18th.

Flight number IP88 will depart from Jakarta’s Soekarno-Hatta International Airport at 07:10 and arrive at Changi Airport, Singapore at 10:00. The return journey, flight number IP89, leaves Singapore at 11:00 and arrives back in Jakarta at 11:50.

The journey time is a little under two hours in each direction, and the route will be served by Airbus A320 aircraft.
