Guangzhou to Bishkek, Quanzhou links with Cebu, and Hong Kong to Phuket
March 2nd, 2026. A new route linking Guangzhou with the Kyrgyzstan capital, Bishkek, will be launched by China Southern. The service will operate twice a week, on Sundays and Wednesdays, commencing on March 29th.
Flight number CZ8147 will depart from Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport at 17:20 and arrive at Manas International Airport, Bishkek, at 21:45. The return journey, flight number CZ8148, will leave Bishkek at 23:20 and land back in Guangzhou at 07:35 the next day.
A Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft will serve the route, and the journey time will be about six and a half hours in each direction.
Quanzhou to Cebu
Xiamen Airlines has lined up a new service between Quanzhou, in China’s Fujian province and Cebu, in the Central Visayas, Philippines. The first flight will take off on Sunday, March 29th, but after that it will settle into a twice-weekly service departing on Tuesdays and Saturdays.
Flight number MF8695 will depart from Quanzhou Jinjiang International Airport at 14:30 and arrive at Mactan-Cebu International Airport at 17:35. The return leg, flight number MF8696, will depart from Cebu at 18:35 and touch down again in Quanzhou at 21:40.
The journey time will be a little over three hours in each direction, and the route will be served by Boeing 737-800 aircraft.
Easter in Phuket
Hong Kong’s Greater Bay Airlines will be offering a short seasonal service to Phuket over the Easter period. Flights will operate on Sundays, Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays between March 29th and April 13th.
Flight number HB270 will depart from Hong Kong International Airport at 19:25 and will arrive at Phuket International Airport at 22:10. The return trip, flight number HB271, will leave Phuket at 23:10 and arrive back in Hong Kong at 04:00 the next morning.
The route will be served by Boeing 737 aircraft, and the journey time will be about three hours and forty-five minutes each way.
