New routes from Busan
T’way Air to launch flights to Kaohsiung and Hong Kong, Jin Air to Guam
February 2nd, 2026. South Korean low-cost airline T’way Air will be launching new flights from Busan to both Kaohsiung, in southern Taiwan, and Hong Kong. The services will commence on March 29th, and both routes will operate six days a week, with Thursdays being the day with no departure.
The Kaohsiung service is a resumption of a route the airline last flew in 2020. Flight number TW675 will take off from Gimhae International Airport, Busan, at 15:00 and will land at Kaohsiung International Airport at 16:50. The return leg, flight number TW676, will leave Kaohsiung at 17:55 and land back in Busan at 21:35.
The route will be served by Boeing 737-800 aircraft, and the outbound journey time will be about two hours and fifty minutes, and a little quicker for the return
Flight number TW639, to Hong Kong, will depart from Busan at 21:50 and arrive in the Special Administrative Region at 00:15 the next morning. The return journey, flight number TW640, will leave Hong Kong at 02:00 and touch down again in Busan at 06:20.
The journey time will be about three and a half hours in each direction, and the flight will be served by Boeing 737-800 aircraft.
Jin Air to launch Busan to Guam
Meanwhile, Jin Air will be launching a new service to Guam. Initially, the flight will operate twice a week on Sundays and Wednesdays starting on March 29th. This will increase to daily on May 1st
Flight number LJ921 will take off from Busan at 20:40 and will arrive at A.B. Won Pat International Airport, Guam at 01:40 the next morning. The return journey, flight number LJ922, will leave Guam at 02:50 and arrive back in Busan at 06:15.
From May 1st, the departure times vary slightly. The flight will leave Busan at 20:40 on Sundays and Thursdays, and 21:00 on all other days. Other timings remain the same. (At the time of writing, I was unable to access either the airline’s website or app; these times were found on Skyscanner.)
The flight will be served by Boeing 737-800 aircraft, and the outbound journey time will be approximately four hours, and the return will be about thirty minutes longer.
