New route from Samarkand to Guangzhou
Akasa Air to launch flights from Mumbai and Bengaluru to Phuket
September 5th, 2025. A new service linking the Uzbek city of Samarkand with Guangzhou, in southern China, will be launched on October 3rd. The service, provided by Uzbekistan’s Centrum Air, will depart twice a week on Mondays and Fridays.
Flight number C6515 will depart from Samarkand International Airport at 18:00 and will touch down at Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport at 03:50 the next morning. The return trip, flight number C6516, will leave Guangzhou at 05:00 on Tuesdays and Saturdays, and will arrive back in Samarkand at 09:50.
The duration of the outbound flight will be a little under seven hours, with the return about one hour longer. The route will be served by Airbus A320 aircraft.
Mumbai and Bengaluru to Phuket
India’s Akasa Air will launch direct flights linking both Mumbai and Bengaluru with the Thai holiday island, Phuket. Both services will operate daily the the flight from Mumbai beginning on September 20th.
Flight number QP618 will take off from Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport at 07:40 and will touch down at Phuket International Airport at 14:35. The return leg, flight number QP619, will depart from Phuket at 16:45 and will arrive back in Mumbai at 20:05.
The route will be served by Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft. The outbound journey will take about five and a half hours, and the return about thirty minutes less.
The service from Bengaluru will commence on October 1st with flight number QP623 departing from Kempegowda International Airport, Bengaluru at 06:25 and arriving in Phuket at 12:40. The return journey, flight number QP624, will leave Phuket at 17:00 and arrive back in Bengaluru at 19:00.
The outbound journey will be about four hours and forty-five minutes, while the return is three hours and thirty minutes. A Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft will serve the flight.
• Both these airlines’ websites appear to be geo-blocked for me. Skyscanner lists the flights, but at the time of writing, the number of agents were few.
