New Paris to Manila flight
And Islamabad to Paris

December 17th, 2024. Air France has launched direct flights between Paris and Manila for the first time in twenty years. Flight number AF0208 leaves Charles de Gaulle Airport on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays at 23:20 and arrives at Manila’s Ninoy Aquino International Airport at 19:30 the following day.

The return journey, flight number AF0209, takes off from Manila on Sundays, Tuesdays and Thursdays at at 21:50 and lands back in Paris at 05:50 the next day.

The flight is served by an Airbus A350-900 aircraft, The outward journey lasts for a little over thirteen hours, and the return is about fifteen.

And Islamabad to Paris

The European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) lifted an EU-wide ban on flights by Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) which was imposed in 2020 after an air crash in Karachi that killed 97 people.

A statement from the airline said, “We are thrilled to announce that EASA has officially lifted the ban on Pakistan International Airlines, which is a significant milestone enabling the airline to resume flights to Europe.”

The first flight on the runway will be a twice-a-week service to Paris commencing on January 10th. Flight PK749 will depart from Islamabad at 11;30 on Fridays and Saturdays and arrive at Charles de Gaulle Airport at 15:55. The return leg, flight PK750, leaves Paris at 17:55 and lands back in Islamabad at 06:30 the following morning. The flight duration is about eight and a half hours and will be served by a Boeing 777-200 aircraft.

PIA is also planning to seek approval from Britain’s Department for Transport for permission to resume routes to the UK with London, Manchester, and Birmingham being priorities.
