New flights serving the Thai capital
November 22nd, 2024. Batik Air will launch a new service between Malaysia’s southern city, Johor Bahru and Bangkok on December 1st, 2024.
Flight number OD530 will depart Johor Bahru’s Senai International Airport at 11:20 and arrive at Bangkok’s Don Mueang Airport at 12:55. The return leg, flight number OD531, will take off from Bangkok at 13:45 and land back in Johor Bahru at 17:15. The flight duration is about two hours and thirty minutes and will be served by a Boeing 737-800
“This vibrant metropolis is a perfect addition to our growing list of destinations, and we are excited to offer our passengers from Southern Malaysia a direct connection to this captivating city,” said Datuk Chandran Rama Muthy, Batik Air’s Chief Executive Officer.
From Rome to Bangkok
Italy’s flag carrier, ITA Airways, has just launched its first direct flight to Thailand connecting Rome and Bangkok.
The new flight will add to AirAsia’s eleven weekly flights on the same route.
“This route represents a key milestone for us, marking our entry into the Thai market and further extending our reach in Asia alongside our connections to Tokyo, New Delhi, and Malè in the Maldives,” said Emiliana Limosani, ITA Airways Chief Commercial Officer and CEO.
The flight operates five times a week. Flight number AZ758 takes off from Leonardo da Vinci Rome Fiumicino Airport on Sundays, Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays at 15:15 and arrives in at Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi International Airport at 07:40 the following morning.
The return journey, flight number AZ759 will depart from Bangkok at 12:15 on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays and arrive back in Rome at 19:15. The flight is deploys an Airbus A330-900 Neo and the scheduled journey time is 10 hours and 25 minutes outward and around thirteen hours back.
