New flights out of Bangkok
Two to India and Japan each, and one to South Korea
August 11th, 2025. Thai low-cost airline, Nok Air, will be reinstating its direct flights between Bangkok and the Indian cities of Mumbai and Hyderabad starting from October 26th.
The service to Hyderabad will operate four times a week on Sundays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Flight number DD958 will take off from Bangkok’s Don Mueang Airport at 21:30 and arrive at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport, Hyderabad at 23:45. The return journey, flight number DD959, will depart from Hyderabad at 00:45 on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays and touch down again in Bangkok at 06:05.
The flight duration will be about three hours and forty-five minutes in each direction, and the route will be operated by Boeing 737-800 aircraft.
The Mumbai service will operate daily, also out of Don Mueang airport. Flight number DD938 will hit the runway at 22:05 and land at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport, Mumbai, at 01:05 the next morning. The return leg, flight number DD939, will leave Mumbai at 02:05 and arrive back in Bangkok at 08:00.
This flight is also served by Boeing 737-800 aircraft, and the journey time will be about four and a half hours.
Bangkok to Japan and Korea
VietJet Thailand has three new daily services from Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi Airport to Northeast Asia lined up. Bangkok to Seoul will take off on October 1st, and Bangkok to Osaka and Tokyo will commence on December 1st and 15th, respectively.
“Each new route allows us to serve more travellers, strengthen our competitive position, and contribute to tourism and economic exchange,” said the airline’s CEO, Woranate Laprabang.
Flight number VZ850 will take off from Bangkok at 01:45 and arrive at Seoul Incheon at 09:20. The return journey, flight number VZ851, will leave Seoul at 15:45 and arrive back in Bangkok at 19:55.
Airbus A321 aircraft will serve the route, which will take around five and a half hours for the outbound flight and about six hours for the return.
Flight number VZ820 will depart from Bangkok at 00:25 and arrive at Kansai International Airport, Osaka at 07:55. The return journey, flight number VZ821, will leave Osaka at 08:55 and arrive back in Bangkok at 13:30.
For Tokyo, flight number VZ830 will take off from Bangkok at 23:55 and arrive at Tokyo Narita at 07:55 the next morning. The return leg, flight number VZ831, will depart from Tokyo at 08:55 and arrive back in Bangkok at 14:30.
The outbound duration of both flights will be approximately six hours, and about half an hour longer for the return, and both will be served by Airbus A321 aircraft.
