New flights: LA to Shanghai, Seoul to Frankfurt
October 14th, 2024. Delta Air Lines planning to resume its Los Angeles to Shanghai route in 2025. The service is subject to take off on June 1st with DL39 leaving Los Los Angeles at 11:25 every Sunday, Wednesday, and Friday touching down at Shanghai’s Pudong Airport at 16:05 the following day.
The return leg, flight number DL38, will depart from Shanghai at 18:20 on Mondays, Thursdays, and Saturdays and arrive back in Los Angeles at 15:45 after a twelve-hour and twenty-five-minute flight.
The flight will be on board an Airbus A350-900 featuring its latest technology. The service was cut during the Covid-19 pandemic. There had been plans to resume the service this year but were shelved.
“As the leading global airline at LAX, Delta remains committed to providing our Los Angeles customers with seamless access to destinations worldwide,” said Joe Esposito, senior vice president of network planning at Delta.
T’Way to Frankfurt
South Korean low-cost carrier T’Way Air has launched direct flights between Seoul’s Incheon Airport and Frankfurt. The flight, which faces stiff competition from Asiana, Korean Air, and Lufthansa, will operate three times a week and will be served by an Airbus A330-200.
Flight number TW403 takes off from Seoul at 10:00 on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays and arrives at 16:30 local time, after a twelve-hour flight. The return leg, flight number TW404, departs from Frankfurt at 18:30 and touches down again in Seoul at 14:30 the following day.
Frankfurt is the airline’s fifth European destination after Paris, Rome, Barcelona, and Zagreb in Croatia. T’Way Air serves around 50 domestic and international destinations
