November 1st 2024. Qantas has launched a new direct route between Brisbane and Manila. The flight will operate four times a week deploying the airline’s Airbus A330 aircraft.
“The Philippines is a very strong market for Qantas and we are pleased to be responding to demand for our services with new flights from Brisbane,” said Qantas International CEO Cam Wallace. “We know a lot of customers travel to Manila via Sydney, so this new direct flight will make it easier and faster for Queenslanders to get to the Philippines in a single hop.”
Flight number QF97 departs from Brisbane at 19:15 on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays and will arrive at Manila’s Ninoy Aquino International Airport at 01:00 the next morning. The return leg, flight number QF98 operates on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Sundays, departing from Manila at 02:45 and arriving back in Brisbane at 12:20. The flight time is approximately seven hours and forty minutes.
And Dubai to Adelaide
Emirates has just resumed its Dubai to Adelaide service. The flight operates daily with flight number EK440 departing from Dubai International Airport at 02:00 and touching down in Adelaide at 20:50. The return journey, flight number EK441, leaves Adelaide at 22:40 and touches down again in Dubai at 05:20 the next morning.
“We’re delighted that Emirates has immediately returned to daily services – the same as pre-Covid frequencies – which is a real sign of confidence in the Adelaide market,” said Adelaide Airport’s managing director, Brenton Cox. “Our customers will again benefit from Emirates’ extensive global network, offering greater competition and customer choice – connecting through Dubai to Europe, Africa and even the US East Coast. Customers will also benefit from Emirates’ code-sharing and frequent flying joint venture arrangement with Qantas.”
