New flights between China and Kuala Lumpur
Seasonal service connecting Phuket with Mumbai
July 15th, 2025. Juneyao Air has launched a service connecting Shanghai with Kuala Lumpur. The service operates three times a week, departing on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.
“This initiative aligns with national strategies to expand market outreach ahead of Visit Malaysia 2026, which will focus on promoting cultural and sustainable tourism in line with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals,” said Deputy Director General of Tourism Malaysia, Samuel Lee Thai Hung.
Flight number HO1353 takes off from Shanghai’s Pudong International Airport at 17:50 and arrives at Kuala Lumpur International Airport at 23:45. The return journey, flight number HO1354, leaves Kuala Lumpur are 00:45 on Sundays, Wednesdays and Fridays and lands back in Shanghai at 06:15.
The flight duration is about six hours for the outbound and fifteen minutes longer for the return. The aircraft will be an Airbus A320 Neo.
Xi’An to Kuala Lumpur
Loong Air has launched a new non-stop service between Xi’an and Kuala Lumpur. The flight operates three times a week, departing on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.
Flight number GJ8721 departs from Xi’an’s Xianyang International Airport at 20:35 and arrives in Kuala Lumpur at 01:55 the next morning. The return leg, flight number GJ8722, leaves Kuala Lumpur at 02:55 and arrives back in Xi’An at 07:55.
The flight will be served by Airbus A320 aircraft, and the duration will be about five hours for the outbound and a little longer for the return
Phuket to Mumbai
Thai VietJet will operate a seasonal service between Phuket and Mumbai between August 14th and October 25th. The flight will operate four times a week, departing on Sundays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays
Flight VZ762 will depart from Phuket at 22:10 and arrive at Mumbai Chhatrapati Shivaji airport at 01:05 the next day. The return leg, flight number VZ763, will leave Mumbai at 02:05 on Sundays, Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays and arrive back in Phuket at 08:20.
The aircraft will be an Airbus A320, and the duration is about four and a half hours for the outward journey, a little longer for the return.
