Thai Lion and Japan Airlines schedule new services to Delhi

October 13th, 2025. IndiGo Air has earmarked October 26th to launch a service to London. The route will operate on a daily basis but with varying time slots.

On all days except Friday, flight number 6E001 will take off from Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport, Mumbai, at 14:45 and will arrive at London Heathrow at 19:20. On Fridays, the flight will depart at 13:10 and arrive at 17:45.

The return leg, flight number 6E002, will leave London at 21:30 on Sundays, Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays and land back in Mumbai at 11:45 the next morning. On Thursdays, it will depart at 21:10 and land at 11:20, and on Fridays it will leave London at 19:50 and touch down again in Mumbai at 10:05.

The duration of the outbound journey will be a little over ten hours, and the return approximately eight hours and forty-five minutes. The route will be served by Boeing 787-9 aircraft.

Bangkok to Delhi

Starting from November 14th, Thai Lion Air will launch a service connecting Bangkok with Delhi. The flight will operate four times a week on Sundays, Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.

Flight number SL244 will depart from Bangkok’s Don Mueang Airport at 13:40 and will arrive at Indira Gandhi International Airport, Delhi at 16:10. The return journey, flight number SL245, will leave Delhi at 17:10 and land back in Bangkok at 22:50.

The outward journey time is scheduled at three hours and forty minutes, and the around fifty minutes longer. The flight will be served by Boeing 737-900ER aircraft.

Tokyo to Delhi

Japan Airlines is also adding to new route between Tokyo’s Narita airport and Delhi to its schedule. The daily service will launch on January 17th, 2026.

Flight number JL749 will take off at 20:15 and arrive in Delhi at 03:00 the next morning. The return leg, flight number JL740, will depart from Delhi at 04:35 and arrive back in Tokyo at 15:10.

The route will be served by a Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner, and the outbound journey will take approximately ten hours, while the return will be a little over seven hours.
