New flight between Phnom Penh and Shenzhen
Kazakh capital links with Danang
May 20th, 2025. Air Cambodia will be launching its inaugural flight between Phnom Penh and the southern Chinese city of Shenzhen on July 10th. The city sits along the border with the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. Over the last 35 years, Shenzhen has grown from a small town into China’s third-largest city and has become a major global technology hub sometimes referred to as China’s Silicon Valley.
The service will operate three times a week with two different time slots. On Mondays and Saturdays, flight number K6926 will take off from Phnom Penh International Airport at 20:30 and arrive at Bao’an International Airport in Shenzhen at 00:05 the next morning. The return leg, flight number K692, will depart from Shenzhen at 01:00 on Tuesdays and Sundays and land back in Phnom Penh at 02:30
On Thursdays, the flight will depart from Phnom Penh at 21:30 and arrive in Shenzhen at 01:00 the next morning. It departs again on Friday at 01:55 and will land at 03:30.
An Airbus A321 has been earmarked for the Monday trip while the other two days will be served by A320s. The flight time will be around two and a half hours in each direction.
Astana to Danang
Last week Air Astana expanded its footprint in Vietnam with a new service between the Kazakh capital and Danang. The service operates twice a week departing on Sundays and Wednesdays.
Flight number KC259 departs from Astana’s Nursultan Nazarbayev International Airport at 22:55 and lands at Danang International Airport at 08:25 the following morning. The return journey, flight number KC260, leaves Danang on Mondays and Thursdays at 10:00 and lands back in Astana at 15:45.
An Airbus A321 Neo will make the journey which will take around seven and a half hours for the outbound flight and about fifteen minutes longer for the return.
