Interesting new domestic routes
Clark and Cebu to Siargao, Mumbai to Kozhikode, and Nagoya to Sapporo
August 27th, 2025. Philippine Airlines has added new flights to serve Siargao Island, a popular eco-tourism hub just off the northeast corner of Mindanao. The airline already operates flights from Manila; the new services will link the island with Angeles City and Cebu.
The day begins at Sayak Airport, Siargao, where flight number PR2876 will depart at 07:50, daily, and arrive at Clark International Airport, Angeles at 09:35. The return leg, flight number PR2875, will depart from Clark at 13:45 daily and arrive back in Siargao at 15:50. The flight times will be approximately two hours.
The will be at least two flights a day, making the short fifty-five-minute hop from Cebu’s Mactan Airport. On Sundays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, there will be three. Flight number PR2374 will depart at 05:45, PR 2355 leaves at 09:50, and PR2382 at 15:45. The return flights leave Siargao at 11:15, 16:20, and 17:10, respectively.
All the above flights will be served by the airline’s De Havilland Dash 8 turboprop aircraft.
Mumbai to Kozhikode
Kozhikode is the latest destination to be added to Akasa Air’s domestic network. Starting on October 1st, the airline will add a service linking it with India’s financial hub, Mumbai.
“We are delighted to add Kozhikode as the 30th destination on our network, marking a milestone in Akasa Air’s growth story, and expanding our connectivity in Kerala,” said Akasa Air’s CEO, Praveen Iyer.
Flight number QP1701 will take off from Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Airport, Mumbai, at 17:35 and will arrive at Kozhikode International Airport at 19:20. The return leg, flight number QP1702, will depart Kozhikode at 19:55 and arrive back in Mumbai at 21:40.
The flight duration will be about one hour and forty-five minutes each way, and the route will be served by Boeing 737 MAX aircraft.

Nagoya to Sapporo
Starting on October 26th, Japan’s Toki Air will launch a service linking Nagoya with Sapporo. The service will operate four times a week on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, and Mondays.
Flight number BV411 will depart from Nagoya’s Chubu Centrair International Airport at 09:50 and will touch down at Sapporo-Okadama Airport at 12:20. The return journey, flight number BV412, leaves Sapporo at 15:45 and lands back in Nagoya at 18:30.
The airline will deploy an ATR 72 twin-engine turboprop for the flight, which will last approximately two and a half hours each way
