IndiGo goes to Bali
The airline will also launch a new route to the Maldives
October 1st, 2025. India’s popular low-cost carrier, IndiGo, has two new services lined up for October. First on the runway will be a flight connecting Mumbai with Bali, which launches on October 18th. This will be the airline’s second route from India to the holiday island.
“With the launch of daily flights to Bali from Mumbai, in addition to Bengaluru, IndiGo now connects two major metros to Bali, an increasingly popular leisure destination for relaxation and exploration. At IndiGo, our endeavour is to make travel more accessible, seamless, and affordable, while continuing to strengthen our footprint,” said the airline’s head of sales, Vinay Malhotra.
Flight number 6E1607 will take off from Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport at 04:25 daily, and arrive at I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport, Denpasar at 16:10. The return journey, flight number 6E1608, leaves Bali at 17:45 and arrives back in Mumbai at 00:25 the next morning.
The journey time will be about nine and a half hours in each direction. This includes a short technical stop of around 30 minutes in Chennai. The route will be served by Airbus A320neo aircraft.
Thiruvananthapuram to Malé
Starting on October 26th, the airline will introduce a daily service between Thiruvananthapuram and the Maldives, adding it to the routes that IndiGo already flies from Bengaluru, Kochi, and Mumbai.
Flight number 6E1129 will depart from Thiruvananthapuram International Airport at 12:00 and will touch down at Velana International Airport, Malé at 13:15. The return leg, flight number 6E1130, will leave Malé at 14:05 and arrive back in Thiruvananthapuram at 16:20.
The flight will be about one hour and forty-five minutes in each direction, and the aircraft for the route will be a 72-seat ATR 72-600 turboprop.
