New services to link both Delhi and Mumbai with Athens

October 23rd, 2025. India’s popular lo-cost airline, IndiGo, is to launch services between both Delhi and Mumbai to Athens. Both services will commence in January 24th but departure days during the first week vary. They settle into a regular schedule in February.

The Greek capital is an enormously popular destination thanks to its long history and influence on education, philosophy, and the arts. Its numerous historical sites include the Acropolis and the Pathenon, ancient theatres such as the Odeon of Herodes Atticus and the Theatre of Dionysus Eleuthereus, the Temple of Hephaestus, Hadrian’s Library, and several museums

Flight number 6E1901 will take off from Indira Gandhi International Airport, Delhi at 09:10 and will arrive at Athens International Airport “Eleftherios Venizelos” at 14:25. The return leg, flight number 6E1902, will depart from Athens at 16:00 on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays, and will land back in Delhi at 03:10 the next morning.

The duration of the outbound flight will be about eight hours and forty-five minutes, and about one hour less for the return. The route will be served by and Airbus A321 aircraft.

Mumbai to Athens

Flight number 6E1903 will depart for at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport, Mumbai at 09:50 on Sundays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and will land in Athens at 14:15. The return journey will leave Athens at 16:00 and will touch down again in Mumbai at 03:10 the next morning.

The airline will deploy an Airbus A321 aircraft for the service and the flight duration will be a little under eight hours in each direction.
