Hong Kong Airlines resumes its service to Hanoi
November 5th, 2025. Vietjet has opened reservations for a new direct service between Ho Chi Minh City and Manila. The airline will offer five flights a week on Sundays, Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, commencing on November 22nd.
Flight Number VJ858 will depart from Ho Chi Minh’s Tan Son Nhat Airport at 23:05 and will touch down at Ninoy Aquino International Airport, Manila at 02:50 the next morning. The return leg, flight number VJ859, will leave Manila at 03:45 on Sundays, Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays and arrive back in Ho Chi Minh at 05:30.
The airline will deploy an Airbus A321 aircraft for the route, and the journey time will be about two hours and forty-five minutes in each direction.
Hong Kong to Hanoi
Meanwhile, Hong Kong Airlines is resuming its service linking the Special Administrative Region with the Vietnamese capital, Hanoi.
“Building on our successful experience operating the Da Nang route, we are even more confident in the potential of the Vietnamese market. We look forward to deepening our presence in Vietnam and offering passengers more convenient and efficient travel options,” said the airline’s Executive Vice President, Li Dianchun.
Direct daily flights will recommence on December 19th with flight number HX528 hitting the runway at Hong Kong International Airport at 17:40. It arrives at Hanoi’s Noibai International Airport at 18:50. The return journey departs from Hanoi at 19:50 and arrives back in Hong Kong at 22:50.
The flight time will be about two hours in each direction and will be served by an Airbus A320-200 aircraft.
