China Eastern links Xi’an and Vienna, Cebu Pacific goes to Hanoi

February 6th, 2026. Hainan Airlines is set to resume its service between Shenzhen and Madrid. The flight will operate on Saturdays only, commencing on April 4th.

Flight number HU749 will depart from Shenzhen Bao’an Airport at 01:05 and will arrive at Adolfo Suárez Madrid–Barajas Airport at 08:50. The return leg, flight number HU750, will leave Madrid at 10:50 and arrive back in Shenzhen at 05:35 the following day.

A Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner will serve the flight, which will last for about thirteen hours and forty-five minutes for the outbound journey and an hour less for the return.

Xi’an to Vienna

Commencing on April 20th, China Eastern will operate a new route between Xi’an and the Austrian capital, Vienna. The service will operate three times a week on Mondays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.

Flight number MU5063 will take off from Xi’an Xianyang International Airport at 01:30 and arrive at Vienna International Airport at 06:10. The return journey, flight number MU5064, will leave Vienna at 13:30 and land back in Xi’an at 05:50 the following morning.

Airbus A330-200 aircraft will serve the route, and the flight time will be approximately ten and a half hours in each direction.

Clark to Hanoi

Meanwhile, Cebu Pacific is expanding its operations out of Clark, in Angeles City, with the introduction of a service to Hanoi. The flight will depart three times a week on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.

Flight number 5J5872 will depart from Clark International Airport at 23:20 and arrive at Hanoi’s Noi Bai International Airport at 02:10 the next morning. The return leg, flight number 5J5873, will leave Hanoi at 03:10 and arrive back in Clark at 07:35.

The outbound flight duration will be about three hours and fifty minutes, and about half an hour less for the return.

The airline already flies to Bangkok, Hong Kong, Tokyo, and Singapore from its Clark hub.
