Beijing to the Omani capital, Shenzhen to Australia

August 12th, 2025. China Eastern is planning to launch a new service connecting Beijing with Muscat. The flight will operate twice a week on Sundays and Wednesdays and will hit the runway on November 30th.

Muscat is the capital of Oman and a major port on the Arabian Sea. The city is steeped in ancient history and boasts sixteenth-century Portuguese forts overlooking the old city as well as the modern and impressive Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque. To the south, it is bordered by mountains and the desert.

Flight number MU2051 will take off from Beijing Daxing at 14:00 and arrive at Muscat International Airport at 19:55. The return journey, flight number MU2052, will leave Muscat at 21:55 and touch down again in Beijing at 09:55 the following morning.

The flight will be served by Airbus A330-300 aircraft. The outward journey will take around ten hours and return a couple of hours less.

To Melbourne

Starting on December 22nd, Shenzhen Airlines will introduce a new service between its home base in southern China and Melbourne, Australia. The flight will operate three times a week, departing on Mondays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.

Flight number ZH811 will depart from Shenzhen’s Bao’an Airport at 23:55 and arrive at Tullamarine Airport, Melbourne at 13:00 the following day. The return leg, flight number ZH812, will leave Melbourne at 22:15 on Tuesdays, Fridays, and Sundays and arrive back in Shenzhen at 05:00 the next morning.

The flight time will be approximately ten hours in each direction and will be served by Airbus A330-300 aircraft.
