Chinese Airlines expand networks
China Eastern to Abh Dhabi and Air China to Irkutsk and Hong Kong
March 7th, 2025. Starting from April 28th Shanghai-based China Eastern Airlines will introduce flights between its home city and Abu Dhabi. The service will operate four times a week on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.
Flight number MU237 will take off from Shanghai’s Pu Dong Airport at 15:10 and arrive at Abu Dhabi’s Zayed International Airport at 21:20. The return service, flight number MU238, will leave Abu Dhabi at 23:20 and arrive back in Shanghai at 12:40 the following day.
The duration of the outward flight flight is ten hours and ten minutes, the return is fifty minutes less. The aircraft will be an Airbus A330-200.
To Irkutsk and Hong Kong
The country’s flag carrier, Air China, has two flights lined up for the summer. The first on the runway will be a service between Beijing and Irkutsk, the administrative centre of the Irkutsk Oblast region of Siberia. Nicknamed the Paris of Siberia, the city boasts a wealth of historic buildings and is on UNESCO’s tentative list of World Heritage Sites.
FStartin on April 27th, flight number CA869 will depart from Beijing’s Capital Airport at 13:00 on Sundays, Wednesdays, and Fridays and arrive at Irkutsk International Airport at 16:00. The return leg, flight number CA870, will depart from Irkutsk at 18:00 and rouch down again in Beijing at 21:00.
The fight duration is three hours in each direction and will be served by Boeing 737-800 aircraft.
The Hong Kong service will operate daily commencing from June 27th. Flight number CA763 will take off from Beijing’s Daxing Airport at 13:10 and arrive at Hong Kong’s Check Lap Kok Airport at 16:35. The return leg will depart from Hong Kong at 17:55 and touch down again in Beijing at 21:20.
The flight will be served by Boeing 737-800 and the duration is three hours and twenty-five minutes in each direction.
